DONATE TO OUR PROGRAMS

We have three separate programs that we are raising funds for continually.
Programs: Help Line, Housing Program, and Research.

Our Help Line program is our current resource designed so students can get Help Now through our resource guide or calling our local number. A lot of students do not know the resources that are available to them and we strive to get that information to them. They are doing the best they can to succeed and in some cases the student needs shelter now. We assist students in getting into the shelter that they qualify for and if needed we will pay for an Airbnb the night before the shelter takes in new people. We will also help the student get to the shelter within consideration. In some cases, the student just needs a ride to the shelter but in others the student may need to have drug testing done to enter and we help in these areas.

Our Housing Program is still in the development stage because we do not have the funds to run the program as of yet. This program recognizes that students need help in more ways than one. Students need more than just books and a lot of people do not realize the need for more than just books. Some do need books but they will not tell anyone that they really need shampoo or food. Maybe they need a pencil or a notebook to get through the day.

Unfortunately for about 17% the student population, it is a roof over their head for the night that is the biggest need.

Our Research Program has been created to help others see the need. The goal is to have a better understanding of the number of students experiencing crisis at the community college level. Most, if not all college students will not ask for help in many areas of college. Students do not identify as being homeless when they are staying at a friends or in a motel. This makes it very difficult to help the students in need. With our research being anonymous for the participant we have been able to capture a larger audience of students.
