The Manners Housing Foundation helps students struggling with housing insecurity and homelessness by educating them about available local resources for emergency housing and other important social services in Pinellas County, Hillsborough County and the surrounding Tampa Bay Area. Helping People Help Themselves (HEP)

HEP is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Since 1986, their mission has been to provide homeless and low-income families and individuals, including veterans, with housing, food, clothing, and support services necessary to obtain self-sufficiency and improved quality of life.
Students who are in search of emergency shelter can check the availability of beds at HEP everyday beginning 8:30 a.m. Availability is limited, so it is important to check in every day until something becomes open. If a bed becomes available, show up in person at the location listed above.

Pinellas Hope, a program of Catholic Charities, serves with charity and compassion to promote the sanctity and dignity of all people with God. As a member of the Church, Pinellas Hope, a program of Catholic Charities, offers hope by helping those in need and unites with others in service.
Students who are in search of emergency shelter can show up on intake day, Tuesdays only, before 7:30 a.m. on in order to secure a spot in an individual tent at Pinellas Hope’s safe campsite. Bathroom facilities and a dining hall are located on-site, and every person is connected with a professional who helps them determine their next steps.

Students who may be experiencing domestic violence or need emergency shelter due to fleeing domestic violence can call the 24hr hotline for immediate help: 727-895-4912.
CASA provides safety, empowerment and prevention programs to help domestic violence survivors and stop the generational cycle of violence. They operate the area’s 24-hour crisis hotline and 133-bed emergency shelter, offer community support groups, provide courtroom advocacy, assist the Child Protective Investigative team and conduct community and corporate training.

Directions for Living’s mission is to be a welcoming and compassionate provider, advocate, and partner to children, adults, and families in need of integrated healthcare, social support, safety, and hope for the future.

Foster care in Florida Terminates on the youth’s eighteenth birthday, regardless of where you are physically or developmentally, where they are living, or where they are in school. Hannah’s Homeless focuses on helping our local homeless population. They provide clean clothes, hygiene items, laundry service, and non-perishable food to meet clients immediate needs. They also provide referrals and counseling services. To do this they utilize a database of local resources to assist people with finding solutions that are more long term.
